Jaimie dried herself quickly, got herself dressed, then put on a pot of strong coffee. She folded the blankets and stuffed them with the pillows into the top of the closet, then re-folded the futon into place so they'd have room to play. She thought about putting shoes on then decided against it, knowing she'd be working up a sweat as soon as they started to play. She ran a comb through her wet, shaggy hair and put on a bit of eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss. She poured herself a cup of coffee when she was finished, and made herself a huge bowl of oatmeal. She read the newspaper while she ate, without really grasping what she'd just read, because her mind kept wandering to Taylor. She thought about how much fun they'd had playing pool and just talking, then her mind drifted to the evening and the time they'd spent in bed together. She felt her face flush and her body get warm at the thought of his hands on her body, his lips on hers, her fingeres running through that silky hair of his. 'Oh god, Jameson. Knock it off. You won't be able to concentrate.' she reprimanded herself and folded her newspaper up. She put it in the rack with her Modern Drummer and other magazines, washed her bowl and spoon, poured herself another cup of coffee, then sat down and turned her keyboard on, thinking that playing may help her get focused before the other girls showed up.

Patti and Jade gathered up their things and went out to Patti's very large, antique car. "Damn, Pat. I love this car." Jade laughed as Patti unlocked the doors. "You always say that." Patti rolled her eyes. "Yeah, but check it out...a ROYAL blue '55 Ford Galaxie...with NO RUST?" Jade said enthusiastically. "Dude if you ever wanna sell it, I get first shot at it." Patti shook her head as she started the car. "You always say that too, dork." she laughed. "Can we stop at my place first? I wanna change clothes.." she asked Jade. "Yeah, cool." Jade answered. "But why would you want to change? I mean you never did before.." Jade asked. Patti gave her a knowing smile. "Weren't you paying attention at lunch? Sheesh. Wonder if Taylor shows up with that hot little brother of his? I don't care if he was checkin' out Jaimie's rack. What guy wouldn't? She's got a nice one.." Patti giggled. "But you said yourself that Jaimie saw Taylor two nights in a row. Did hell freeze over? She NEVER does that. I might have to console his little broken heart when he realizes Jameson is in LOVE with his brother." Patti wiggled her eyebrows at Jade and Jade laughed until her eyes watered. "Oh my god! Don't let Jame hear you say that out loud. She'll blow a gasket and deny every word. You know she will. I hope Taylor has the patience of a saint, cause that's what it will take to get her to break down and admit it." Jade commented wiping her eyes. "Oh don't worry," Patti rolled her eyes again, "I don't wanna be on the receiving end of that firestorm. I am anxious to watch you rip Josh a new orifice though." "Maybe." Jade answered thoughtfully. "But I think he may be to afraid of the 'spawn of satan' to risk showing up over there unannounced. I'm gonna bring Jaimie a black pointy witch's hat and a big ass straw broom, can you imagine his reaction? Oh my god!" Both girls dissolved into a fit of laughter as they entered Patti's apartment. "Too bad Josh doesn't realize she's proud of her reputation, huh?" Patti wiped her eyes. "I think Jaimie acts worse just to perpetuate it and freak him out more."
"I think you're right." Jade answered and closed the door behind her.

"Aw, come on Tay. Don't make me ride with the geek brigade..pleeaase." Zac whined in mock horror, backing away from Ike and Josh, who only looked annoyed. "Dude. You can ride with me, but when Jame boots Josh's ass outta there...and I KNOW she will...you have to motor with them, Jaimie and I have a date." he said looking pointedly at Zac. Zac rolled his eyes, "Yeahyeahyeah.." he muttered. "Fine. Let's go." Zac was out the door and to Taylor's car before there could be anymore discussion. "What makes you think she'll kick me out if Jade is willing to listen to me?" Josh asked, looking directly at Taylor. "Because she is even more pissed off than Jade is. And honselty Josh, I don't understand why you couldn't have just picked up the phone. It would have saved you all of this." Taylor said, 'and me the headache I am about to come down with' he added in his own mind. "Good luck getting her to believe you." Taylor said and headed for the door, with a backwards glance at Ike, who tried with all he had to look innocent and failing miserably. Taylor knew his brother way too well.
Ike thought long and hard during the seemingly long ride to Jaimie's. Taylor had a point, would he really be able to stand to watch them kiss and make up? Maybe he was just helping Josh get near jade so he could absolve his own conscience, because the more he thought about Jade, the more he thought about her. And the more her tried NOT to think about her, the more he thought about her. It was more frustrating than he'd imagined anything could be. He could easily see himself spending the rest of his life with Jade, and he could NOT, for the life of him, figure out why the hell Josh was being so squirrely about the whole situation. Ike was leaning toward Taylor's line of thinking and he still didn't quite get where Josh had been. He'd said he got busy at work, but that didn't add up, because Ike tried him there and there was no answer, just Josh's voicemail. 'Oh well, no matter.' he thought to himself, 'it's still wrong. He's family and your best friend besides your brothers, so get over it.' But that didn't make the ride over there any shorter or his heightening anticipation at seeing Jade any less.

Jaimie held both drumsticks in one hand as she gulped out of her water bottle, then wiped her face with a small towel. "Jameson...why are you kicking ass so hard now? You'll be toast by the time you get to work." Tami complained. Jaimie shrugged and took another drink of water. "Doesn't seem worth it to do it half-assed." Jaimie said, looking directly at Angel, who was having a hard time hitting any of the notes she was supposed to. Angel rolled her eyes. "I told you I was coming down with something. I'll be fine by Friday.." she snapped. "If you're sick you shouldn't be breathing that crap all over the rest of us either." Jaimie countered. "Go home, Angel. You can't sing like that anyway and take Friday night off. We can manage." Jaimie used her best, sickeningly sweet, concerned voice. Tami and Patti looked away before Angel could catch them smirking. "Why do you have to be so rude Jaimie? I am just trying to pull my weight." Angel whined, then sniffled. "BECAUSE. I don't want your cold, I don't want to cancel the gig on Friday, since it's our ONLY regular one..and about seven thousand other reasons. Nothing personal Aneglface. I just don't want you breathing on me. Go home to bed and see the doctor in the morning.." Jaimie continued, then looked up when the side door opened and Taylor breezed in carrying not just one pizza, but an armload. "Hey...what do I look like? A human garbage disposal.." Jaimie giggled and went to take some boxes out of his arams. "No. That would be me.." Zac chimed in, as he came through the door with a case of Dr. Pepper in his hand. "Oh good lord!" Jaimie exclaimed. "How ya doin' you party crasher." She kissed Zac on the cheek and then soocked him in the shoulder. "Oww..brute.." Zac teased back batting his eyelashes. "Hi Tay." Jaimie looked into Taylor's eyes and all five other girls stared in shock as Jaimie actually blushed. Taylor leaned down and kissed Jaimie's cheek, letting his lips linger there for just a moment, then urged her to get back to practice, hoping she wouldn't kill him when Ike and Josh showed up. "Oh what the hell are you lookin' at?" jaimie grumbled as she pulled her drumsticks out of her back pocket and straddled the stool. Every single girl in the room lowered their eyes to hide their smirks, pretending to busy adjusting instruments and the like.
