Jaimie noticed that Angel was still in the room. "Angelface! Take your germy, sneezy, coughing ass HOME please. We will manage." Jaimie looked pointedly at the door. "Jadey, how will YOU get home?" Angel asked, semi-ignoring Jaimie. "Like she said, we'll manage." Jade said and urged Angel silently to go. She didn't want to run interference between them again. "Fine." Angel folded her arms and looked directly at Jaimie, with the stance of a defiant child. "But I WILL sing Friday night. It's just a cold.." she pouted. "When you take enough voice
lessons you can sing sick. You're all over the place Angel. Just get well okay?" Jaimie tried not to sound harsh, the girl really was sick.
Before they could finish the conversation, Ike tapped at the door and stuck his head in. "Hey..all finished..is it safe?" he grinned at jaimie. silently asking for permission to come in. "Come in goofball.." Jaimie waved him in with her drumsticks, as Angel grabbed her jacket. Jaimie's jaw dropped when Josh waltzed in behind Ike and made a beeline for Jade. Jaimie looked at Taylor wh shrugged as if to say, "I couldn't have stopped him anyway." Jade looked at Jaimie panicked. "Hold up there, Joshy-boy." Jaimie jumped from behind her drumkit and bounded in front of Jade in what seemed to be only two steps. Josh stared daggers at Jaimie. "I believe my friend has made it perfectly clear that she has nothing she wants to talk to you about, today." she said.

"Back off Jaimie. I just want to apologize." he said and looked around Jaime at Jade. "You feel like listening to a lame excuse, Jadeleigh?" Jaime asked watching both Josh and Angel. Angel looked like she was about to pull someone's hair out and Josh was just plain angry at Jaimie. "Not really.." Jade said softly, letting Jaimie be her voice and shield. "Jade..would you just list.." Josh started but had to stop in the middle to try to control his coughing spasm. Jaimie and Taylor's eyes locked, knowingly. Taylor's blue eyes flashed angrily. Jaimie pinned Angel with a hard stare. "What are you looking at me for? I was just leaving.." Angel tried to leave in a huff, but succumbed to a coughing spell as chest wracking as Josh's. "Good GOD!! I don't care if Jadeleigh DID want to talk to you. I," Jaimie stressed the word, "CANNOT afford to be sick. Get your germy asses out! I'm through being polite.." she snapped. "GO!!" she pointed to the door leaving everyone staring in shock. "OUT!!! Dammit...I don't get sick days and I can't fucking SING and PLAY the drums sick...get out, get out, get out!!" She shoved both Angel and Josh out the door leaving the rest of the group smirking. "Jeez!" Jaimie muttered, reached for a can of Lysol and sprayed the doorknob causing Zac to double over in hysterical laughter as Ike ran out the door after Josh. "Josh...hey man...Tay tried to warn you.." Ike tried to be soothing without saying 'I told you so'. "Whatever." Josh coughed and turned to Angel. "We should all pray for Taylor's soul right about now.." Josh muttered. Ike chuckled. "Dude, she just said she can't afford to get sick...you sound like crap anyway. Want me to drive you home or what?" he asked. "Nah..stay and guard your brothers. I won't be good company anyway." Josh said. "And don't forget to pray. I swear to GOD the man in  that house adopted satan's daughter.." he snapped. "Sorry man." Josh relented.
"I'll call you tomorrow." he told Ike. "Okay man. Take it easy." he said and went back inside, not noticing that Angel and Josh's cars took off in the same direction.
Taylor watched, unable to look anywhere but at Jaimie, as they played. It was as if all of a sudden someone broke down a wall and Jaimie really let go, taking the rest of the band memebers with her. They all seemed to be feeding off of whatever energy Jaimie was putting out and it was awesome. She really just needed to fire Angel, the tension that girl's presence put on the entire band made them suffer, and Angel didn't seem the type to sing the kind of rock these girls excelled at playing. Angel reminded him of one of those manufactured pop-princesses that had to have their voices run through a synthesiser a few times to make the songs sound good enough to put on the radio. In fact Jaimie made reference to that ONCE while they were talking the other day, and dropped it quickly, stating that she didn't want him to think she was the raging bitch some people thought she was. "Perfectionist, maybe. But not a bitch on wheels.." she laughed. Taylor was looking forward to watching them play Friday night, if Jaimie really was expecting Angel to take the night off. From the way she'd shoved her and Josh out the door, he was pretty sure she was serious. He fleetingly wondered if Josh had gone home with Angel to soothe her obviously ruffled feathers, as he caught Ike watching Jade.

Ike was blown away by the ability of these girls and wondered why they didn't play more of their own stuff. He gathered that Jaimie was more talented than she let on, which confused him since she was obviuosly a very confident woman. He could also see why Tay was so infatuated with Jaimie already, she was just as passionate about things as his brother, though her method of expressing herself was much different than Tay's. She sort of reminded him of a female version of Zac, with a hefty dose of perfectionism thrown in. The girls finished up their rendition of "Love in an elevator", Jaimie singing lead on that one and all three remaining men burst into whooping applause, making Jaimie giggle. "Damn...sorry guys. I forgot you were here. I'm gonna get spoilied if that's the applause we get from practicing." she said, then swallowed the rest of her water, causing Taylor's jeans to suddenly become uncomfortable. he moved to sit next to Zac on the futon,
while Ike's lanky frame took up the recliner that faced the girls.
"Hey Tami...what about Sweet Child? You been keeping up on that one?" Jaimie grinned. "Jameson...I can't play it and sing lead...It's all I can do to.." Tami grinned. "Oh go ahead show off.." Tami giggled, "But the next two are mine." she grinned. "Deal dude, those rock and I can't play 'em AND sing lead..I'm not that coordinated either." Jaimie said and blew a raspberry at Tami. "So go..homie..." Jaimie laughed and they all waited for Tami to start. The men watched, enthralled for the next half-hour, while Zac threw in his usual whoops and loud comments, which brought huge grins to all the womens faces and many answering whoops and smart remarks from Jaimie, who was completely relaxed and wound up at the same time. "Jaimie.." Tami got Jaimie's attention quickly with the tone of her voice. "What?" Jaimie looked at Tami and knew the question before she asked it. "Oh. No Angel. Okay yeah, but not Jimmy's. I'm not ready yet." Jaimie said quietly and Taylor closed his eyes to the stab of pain he knew she was feeling. "I know Jameson. How about Restless?" she asked. "Kay." Jaimie looked at everyone else, beat her sticks in time and they broke into an awesome song that obviously Tami and Jaimie had written together. When it was over the men and Jade couldn't help but applaud wildly. The girls played two more they'd written together and Ike was floored, along with his brothers.
