"ADAM!!" Calley yelled, just as Taylor and Zac came up behind him. "LET GO! I am NOT going anywhere with you when you are like this, I said."
"You most certainly are," he snarled and pulled her toward him, twisting her so her arm was painfully behind her back.
"I SAID NO!" Calley yelled again and ground her heel into the top of Adam's soft leather shoe, and twisting the almost pointed thing with all her strength. She stepped away from him and  backed up, hauling her sweater around her shoulders and re-adjusting her purse. She stood staring, in shock, as two pair of soft Hanson gazes met hers.
"Is there a problem, here?" Zac looked Adam in the eye. "She's a little drunk, huh?" he continued. "We can have our driver pick her up and take her wherever she wants to go.." he lied with a straight face. Taylor had to fight to keep his gaze from locking with Calley's.
Adam's face lost all it's raging redness, making him look pale. "I can handle my wife well enough thank you. And I," he stressed the word, "will be taking her HOME. I appreciate the offer." he said coldly, a phony smile making him look as if he were made of wax.
"I'm not going home wth YOU.." Calley spat, and Taylor wanted to cheer. The redness returned to Adam's face, immediately. "HOW DARE SHE?" kept racing through his mind.
"Calley. You HAVE had too much to drink. You'll see things differently in the morning. Just calm down and let's go home." he tried to remain calm as the young men continued to stand there, when he really wanted to grb her by the hair and shove her into his car, make her behave as he expected her to. He could NOT figure out what had gotten into her.
"No. I MIGHT call you tomorrow. Goodbye.." Calley said, making herself pull her eyes from Taylor's, but then her gaze locked with Zac's. She felt as if she were going to burst into tears. There was NO WAY she was going to stand around and take that look of pity from an arrogant and cocky little shit like him.
"Thank you for the offer, Zac. But I can manage." she said, glanced back at Taylor once more, then slipped her heels off and ran as quickly as she could, then hailed a cab.

Taylor was still stunned as he watched Calley run, barefoot, down the street. His eyes met hers again briefly as she slipped into the cab and it sped off. He was shocked at the expression he saw there. It was a mixture of anger, frustration and fear. He desperately wanted to go after her, ask her what she was thinking, what she was planning, but at the same time, he felt paralyzed. He didn't want to make it dangerous for her to go back, and suddenly he was feeling like nothing but a loser, homewrecker.

He looked up at Zac, who was still staring Adam down. The man looked like his body was going to split apart, he was in such a rage. "Thank you, for interfering. I had it under control." he growled, clenching his fists at his sides.
"Dude.." Zac grinned, "I saved you a court case. She could have gotten you for everything you own if you would have lost your temper. Women." Zac shrugged and smirked, giving Taylor a sideways glance.
Taylor's blood was boiling and he refused to speak, for fear of letting loose on the man. Calley had her faults, but no woman deserved to be rough-handled like that.
"Yes, well...maybe." Adam said, calming slightly.
"I'm sayin'..." Zac grinned again. "let her sleep it off in some dump. She'll be groveling and do whatever you want her to, in the morning. After she wakes up in some flea-infested dive, smellin' like a boozed up prostitute." he said, and Adam's demeanor instantly relaxed.
"How old are you, boy?" Adam asked, a slow, evil grin spreading across his face. Both Taylor and Zac wanted to smash the look right off of it.
"Old enough." Zac shrugged again. "Chicks. Can't live with 'em, but ya gotta to get any.." he chuckled. Taylor rolled his eyes and turned his back, before he decided to clock Zac's crude and jaded ass instead.
Adam chuckled and fished his car keys out of his pocket, while Zac thought that this guy was off his rocker. He was actually worried that Calley might decide to go home.
"Goodnight boys. Stick to the groupies who don't want anything but a piece, kid. You're safer.." Adam said and strode to his car.
"Dumbass bastard.." Zac muttered to Taylor as Aadm disappeared into his car. "No shit.." Taylor agreed and lit a cigarette, taking a deep drag and breathing it out slowly.
"So dude? Beer and movies now? Or do you really wanna go watch Ike and Courtney slobber all over each other?" Zac grinned.
Taylor groaned. "Beer. Definately."
They strode silently to Taylor's rented car, slid in and headed for the nearest liquor store, each lost in ther own thoughts.

Calley burst into tears as soon as she was seated in the cab. She dug through her small purse and found some tissue, the tried to compose herself.
The driver cleared his throat and asked,"Where to miss?"
"Ummm.." she sniffed, having no clue as to where to go, "just drive for a minute, okay?" she wiped her eyes and sobbed again.
"Oh--kay." he raised his eyebrows and shook his head as he whipped the cab around a corner. Calley would have protested at the rough jolt that gave her, but she was still trying to stop her tears. "Umm...I know.." she finally stammered, the tears and the alcohol making her woosy.
"Yes miss?" the driver waited a little impatiently.
"The lake....the little motel next to The Morning Star.." she sniffled and wiped her eyes.
"You mean the Beacon?" he asked.
"That's the one. Yes please." she answered and then leaned back, resting her head on the back of the seat. She slosed her eyes and tried to make her mind go blank.
