Building Questions & Update:

Aug 2, 2009:
Our site has seen a lot of activity this week. The majority of our main & north parking lots are completed. The ditch has been excavated & re-seeded to prevent erosion. Additional sod has been installed around the building.
The old church is almost completely dismantled. Bricks should be availabel soon for those who would like a few for mementos.

:
We are working on some landscaping issues to improve the drainage around our new facility. You may notice the rock along the main entrance. This is to improve the drainage from the sidewalk run-off. Some of our trees may look wilted or almost dead. We had a local nursery review their condition. They are suffering from being too wet. We have taken measures to improve this by reducing & pulling back the mulch to allow the ground to dry. They are expected to recover. Some also have been planted too deep. A survey  of trees in Iowa has found this to be a common problem resulting in trees dying when they get 5-15 yrs old. The work on our parking lots is almost completed. Please be careful in these areas as the work continues
