Welcome from the Flat Stanley Cousins

Hi! Our names are 2-D Trudee, Small Paul, and Tiny Tom. Like our cousin Flat Stanley, we became flat (2-dimensional) so we can be mailed to different places or stuffed into a suitcase or purse.
This summer we are staying with our teacher from West Burlington Elementary School and traveling with her. Mrs. Henderson is her name and she teaches art and enrichment for our school.

The towns of Burlington and West Burlington are right next to each other, and we're going to tell you about both. The picture above is of all three of us at the Mississippi River Bridge in Burlington. The bridge is one of the famous sites in Burlington.

Another famous part of Burlington is Crapo Park. It has lots of different plants and even a small lake. It also has a band shell where concerts are preformed. This is Small Paul by the park's sign.

Other famous sites in Burlington are Snake Alley, the most crooked street in the world, and Mosquito Park which is a little bigger than a mosquito.

The place that hires more people than any other in the area is the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Mrs. H's (that's short for Mrs. Henderson) husband works a second job as one of the chaplains for this hospital. She likes to go to the rehabilitation center to exercise. One day she took us with her.

Other special things about West Burlington include our mall, the junior college, and the grotto next to St. Mary's Catholic church.

Mrs. H. says that soon we will be getting to take an airplane ride to some place special.

Bye for now, 2-D Trudee, Small Paul, and Tiny Tom
