She married Harry Narcesse Dugas in Ascension, Louisiana, June 10, 1926. Harry was born in Smoke Bend, Louisiana November 11, 1904. Harry⁽¹⁰²⁾ was the son of Elei Michael Dugas and Louise Marie LeBlanc. Harry died July 9, 1987 in Donaldsonville, Ascension, Louisiana., at 82 years of age. His body was interred July 11, 1987 in Donaldsonville, Ascension, Louisiana.. Novelia and her husband, Harry Dugas, had a cafe in Donaldsonville for many years. They lived behind the cafe. It is now a sports shop run by their son Larry. I have spent several summers with them as a kid and they went out of their way to entertain me. Such as trips to Alabama, New Orleans etc. Novelia died after several years of suffering with alhiemers disease. She got to the point where she was like a vegetable.
