ABOUT MY CAR
SOLD BY TOYOTA DEALER, GOULDS OF NORTHCOTETO THE ORIGINAL OWNER

1ST OCTOBER 1973

I purchased the car on 18th February 1986. Since then the car has travelled 147,297 miles with no restoration work having taken place on any part of the vehicle by me and also no major repairs of any kind.

The original paintwork was good apart from some scratches and small dents (no rust). I chose to have the car resprayed in its original colour in March of 1998. Baked enamel Dulux/Wattyl, all metal was removed prior to the respray.

Regrettably in 1995 I lost the dealer folder, complete with books and many other booklets and information from the dealer. Since then I have tried extremely hard to replace these items, speaking to owners in the street, leaving notes under wiper arms of cars parked around town … no luck.

I would be very happy to pay for a complete set including the folder, or perhaps readers may have books to enable me to make up a complete set.

Before the Celica I was a fan of Chrysler.

My Car is a Toyota Celica LT, Model TA22 Coupe with a 1600cc. 4 Cylinder engine with a three speed Automatic transmission.

This particular model was first displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1970 with exportation beginning in January 1971. Between 1971 and 1976 250,000 vehicles were exported, overseas this car was known as the "Carina"
