Atheist Respond part II + PUNK 1life2live 10.15.2003
if your reading this now you may want to read an earlier post intitled Atheist Respond it isn't long at all.

i didn't get to elaborate much on the topic. by state of nirvana i mean as an atheist are we the closest to nirvana any human could ever be? as many lifes are misdirected into believing in a spiritual world thus their veiw on life becomes much different often crippling their freewill subconsciously. of other nonreligious beings some other variables interfere with what i think the true meaning of life is (to live it in your own way because when you die you die). but as an atheist many of us can see past the clutter of wordly things creating a much more natural life given the humankind empire of industry, politics, and religion are disregarded. thus making atheist a kind of superbeing. correction although atheism only indicates that one's belief is not in a spiritual based religion if an atheist is to meditate on many issues regarding the control over your own being (an invisible lining of manmade ideals) i'd think that atheist would become more inlightened and the longing for a more natural life would come to you. emerson said in his sel-reliance essay to "accept the place the divine providence has found for you". i accept the world as is today but i do not believe it was found for me by god. acceptance is key when that which has to be accepted is the majority. living as a contridiction to all that must be accepted is the closest rather a smart ass way of naturalism in the sense of one's own conduct. to be punk in the city (the city being where all of mankind's flaw flock tightly together in a enviroment runned on money and such) is the contridiction being that the belief of a punk is (broadly) anti-establishment. my point being to all this a punk lifstyle (hate for greed, politics, materialism etc.) alongside with atheism (hate for religion as a source of control over the human race) creates a sort of nirvana like state throughout a lifetime spent on earth. and that the term nirvana can be justified in use by atheist as is in the hindu and buddhist religions.
