FanFiction:
Without fanfiction, any fandom would quickly lose steam. After all, there are only so many things you can say about a 120 minute movie we've all seen a dozen times. Yes, Spot is quite fine, and no, the fan isn't actually holding Bumlets up. Along comes fanfiction, and suddenly that same movie has hundreds of prequels, sequels, side stories, and new adventures. Suddenly the characters are allowed to exist for more than two hours, and in the process, fledgling writers get to practice their art with their favorite characters and an already established fanbase.

I think it goes without saying that I love fanfiction. And I think you should, too. If you aren't involved with the fanfiction aspect of the fandom, prepare to be amazed. There's a lot of people writing a lot of incredible stuff, and many of them are a part of this very group!
