(Jesus walks up to the door and peeks in to a conversation is going on inside.)

Visitor: .... I would like to share this passage with you, (Opens bible) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already”......You know, your grandmother loves you very much, She prays for you all the time. If you would like I can pray with you right now and show you how to accept Jesus in your heart.

(There is a knock on the Door, Jesus is standing there waiting to be asked in.)

Husband: (looks up at the door and sees Jesus standing there) You know, I am not sure about all this religious stuff, Let us think about it ok?

(Jesus again looks up with a tear in his eye, He slowly turns and walks away.)

Visitor: Sure, I understand, (he hands him a track) Here is some more information, If you ever need us for anything you can contact us here. It was so wonderful to meet you both! I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you! You are welcome to our church anytime!

(The visitor shakes their hands and exits through the door.)

Wife: Honey.....Do you think we could go to church on Sunday, I am sure your grandmother would love it if we surprise her! (she is watching out the door and waving as the visitor leaves)

Husband: (Picking up remote and the track) I will think about it.

Wife: Ok (she closes the door and takes a seat next to her husband, Light dims)

Scene changes to pew scene. Light comes up on the Husband, Wife and Grandmother as they stand while the preacher finishes his sermon and ask the piano player to come and prepares for the alter call....

Preacher: In John 10 verses 9-11 the Lord said “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” (Jesus again walks up to the door)...If the Piano player would come and get a song of invitation ready....(music plays softly) Jesus gave his life for us so that we might be saved and have eternal life in heaven with our Father, That tug in your heart you feel is the Lord knocking on the door... won’t you open it and receive him in? All it takes is a step out in faith, I will join you at the alter and pray with you..... Won’t you come?

(music still playing softly)

The Wife takes the Husbands hand looks at him and smiles, The Husband takes his grandmothers hand, They step out and walk over to the alter (The Door is behind the alter) The Husband and wife open the door together, Jesus walks through and embraces them....

The preacher faces the audience

Preacher: Won’t you come? (Plus whatever the Lord has him say)

Invitation song continues
