Spiritual work in the underworld is essential. This cleansing of the mind
and heart enables us to have a loving relationship with ourselves, the Divine,
and our fellow humans. Many ancient mythos
illustrate the journey through the subconsious. A heros journey, that brings
enlightenment.
On this path we will confront our shadow self. To "know thyself"
we must claim all aspects of our nature. When the shadow self is denied, our
doubts, fears, and dysfunctional ways of thinking can create great chaos and
suffering. Confronting our inner boogie man is a process of unfolding discovery.
With a psychopomp as our guide we revisit childhood memories, which show us
how we came to think and believe as we do. In this part of the journey deep
healing of the child self, leads us to true adulthood.
