The Halabja Massacre
    On March 16th, 1988 Saddam Hussein ordered the lauch of a number of chemical weapons on Halabja, a Kurdish city in northern Iraq. Approximately 5000 civilians were killed, and about 10 000 injured. Chemical weapons were outlawed due to their horrible effects in 1925 by a treaty which Iraq agreed to. Below are pictures illustrating some of the hideous results of that bombing.
