| Today was a great day for my so-called Coalition For War On Iraq, despite the drastic lack of numbers that we had. Today was the first day of protest, the first day of our campaign, the first day for the view of the minority to be seen, for the truth is hidden in the propaganda. Today we protested protestors. Our lack of numbers was the result of many tragedies combined. Some were simply busy, and could not attend my protest, some were terrified out of it (for the pressure of the hippies is astounding), and some, quite irritably, were vetoed by their parents. This I feel is an utter disgrace, their children have their own political views, they should be able to express them, especially seeming as though I try to only acquire people who know what they are talking about. This did not deter me though; I stood strong against the wave. I was joined by one other; the most faithful in my protest, and also, conveniently, the most educated supporter I have. My friend Mac joined me in this, despite his entire family’s views (some of them were reputably actually in the protest). The Cobourg Star, obviously humoured by us, came and asked us a few questions, and took our picture, with any luck, we will be seen in the paper. The hippies did not take well to our presence at all. They outnumbered us drastically, best estimations state that there was around 200 of them rallied. Upon arrival, the entire mass of hippies rotated, from watching their protest to watching me, silently standing in protest across the street with a sign in each hand. They weren’t impressed. Soon after, Mac arrived, quite content to hold his sign high. The hippies shipped over several… we will call them ambassadors, intent on showing us “The Truth”. We coldly told that particular hippie to get lost, but I did take a page of his information, which I accidentally lost. Later the hippies came to take over my side of the road, and therefore lessened our ability to stand out. We still did though, and amazingly enough, we still stood out, and we didn’t get beaten down with protest signs. When Mac and I went to join onto the back of their march (something they really didn’t appreciate) They began to scream out “Morons!” at us… we didn’t care, I just waved my “Hippies Go Home” sign at them a little more. In case you’re wondering, our three signs of the day read: Hippies Go Home (obviously), Go Bush Go, and War On Iraq. We had a great time. We marched, pissed them off, made our stand, and expressed to the world that it’s okay to protest the hippies. Join with us next time!
