2001/2002 Application for membership CHELC
is a group of professing Christians who home educate their children. Our
purpose for existing is to encourage each other in the God-given
responsibilities and privileges of educating our children.
We seek to promote excellence in education by providing information
about home education and Christian family life through books, tapes,
support meetings, etc. We try
to offer a variety of opportunities for educational and social development
of our children. We provide
legislative information that is pertinent to the continuing freedom to
homeshool in South Carolina. In exchange for the services CHELC offers
you, there are requirements of membership as well. REQUIREMENTS
OF MEMBERSHIP: 1.
Be in
agreement with and sign the Statement of Faith 2.
Conduct
yourselves in a manner consistent with the Statement of Faith and purpose
of CHELC in order to contribute to a positive image of our group in the
community. 3.
Be actively
home educating your children. 4.
Perform at
least one task as designated by the board during the school year.
First year home educators are exempt from this requirement. 5.
Pay dues of
fifteen (15) dollars. 6.
Fill out
application and return by July 15th.
All renewal application and dues not received by July 15th
will be subject to a five (5) dollar late fee. 7.
At least one
family representative will attend the ANNUAL MEETING.

God and constitutes completed and final revelation.
The Bible, in its original autograph, is without error in whole and
in part; including theological concepts as well as geographical and
historical details. 2.
God has
existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son,
and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus
Christ is God come in human flesh being fully man except without sin. 3.
All men are
in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character both
by wrath and just condemnation. The
central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the
substitutionary death on the cross – the successful accomplishment of
which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection. 4.
Salvation is
offered as a gift; free to the sinner.
This gift must by responded to in individual faith, not trusting in
any personal works whatsoever, but the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ
