CHELC is a group of professing Christians who home educate their children. Our purpose for existing is to encourage each other in the God-given responsibilities and privileges of educating our children.  We seek to promote excellence in education by providing information about home education and Christian family life through books, tapes, support meetings, etc.  We try to offer a variety of opportunities for educational and social development of our children.  We provide legislative information that is pertinent to the continuing freedom to homeshool in South Carolina. In exchange for the services CHELC offers you, there are requirements of membership as well.
