MIGRAINE |
Migraine headaches can be debilitating. They are typically associated with a throbbing pain behind the eye, light sensitivity, nausea and vomiting and other symptoms. Migraine headaches are often difficult to treat but there are natural means that may give you the relief you need. |

TRY FEVERFEW |
Feverfew can be a very effective natural supplement in the treatment of classic migraines. I have seen very good success using this product in my office in conjunction with chiropractic treatment. Feverfew is backed up with good research as well. A 1998 study showed significant reduction in the number and severity of migraines and improvement in associated nausea and vomiting. Interestingly about half of the studies participants had already tried conventional migraine drugs without improvement. I have seen this same thing in my office. |

GET THE RIGHT FEVERFEW |
You can't just buy any feverfew product and expect it to be effective. There need to be specific attributes. Look for a standard extract of .3 to .7% parthenolides. Also make sure the product contains a base of the whole herb to make sure you are getting the active component. At MIDTOWN CHIROPRACTIC we have whole plant feverfew with .7 parthenolides in stock. |

Feverfew can be used both as a preventative and during an acute attack. Be aware that when used preventatively feverfew may take up to three months to be effective |
If your migraines are associated with menstruation other products may be more effective |
Side Effects Feverfew has no side effects other than occassional digestive upset with a few users. Check with your doctor before using if you are on blood thinning medications |
