Projects and Activities Prestently we have more than 150 4-H projects avaliable to members. They are split into 9 different categories. As a result, the list below can only list the categories and subjects. 4-H Activitites are in italics For a discription of the projects, call your local 4-H Leader for a copy of the ILLINOIS CLOVER.


Animal Sciences: Beef, Cat, Dairy, Dog, Goat, Horse and Pony; Judging (Dairy, Livestock, Meats, and Poultry), Poultry, Rabbit, Sheep Showmenship (Beef, Sheep, and Swine), Small Pets, Swine and Veterinary Science.

Communication Arts: (Demostrations, Action Presentations, Public Speaking, Report Ambassadors, Poster Art, and Displays), and Photography.

Community Development:Community Involvement, Citizenship, Health, Saftey, International Intrige, State and County Exchange, International Exchange, and Country Studies(25 Different Countries).

Economics and Business: Commodtiy Marketing and Career Education.

Home and Family Resorces: Child Care, Clothing I, Clothing Intermediate and Advanced(Cloting Revenue), Foods, Home Furnishings, and Management.

Leisure Education: Arts and Crafts,Camping, Outdoor Living,(Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced Campcraft), Recreation, Sports (Softball), and Share-the-Fun.

Mechanical Sciences: Aerospace, Automotive, Bicycle, Electricity, Energy, Small Engines, Snowmobiling, Tractor ( Tractor Certifacation and Tractor Operators Contest), Woodworking.

Natural Resources and Enviornment: Beekeeping, Conservation, Entomology, Forestry and Geology.

Plants and Soils; Crops and Soils, Extra Yeild (Corn a Soybean, Yeild, Demonstration/Research Plot and Scholorship), Flower Arranging, Flower Gardening, Gradening Indoors, Ornamental Horticulture, Plant and Soil Science, and (Horticulture judging and Identification, Horticulture Demonstrations, and Speaking of Horticulture).
