Personal Stories

Vicki

October 2001

As this is a personal story about me, I thought it only fair to update you regularly, especially when the news is good!

Since I wrote the testimony below, I have some fantastic news.
Back in May I heard about a lady (Jocelyn) who is a colour therapist in Blenheim.  I was feeling pretty miserable at this stage, so I rang her, to ask if I could go down for a consultation.

That weekend, I was on the ferry travelling to Picton, wondering what exactly this colour therapy was all about.  After talking to Jocelyn on the phone that week, she had given me a brief run down on what to expect, however at this stage in the proceedings I just knew that I had nothing to loose, and anything was better than sitting at home waiting for a miracle.

I won't go into all the details here, however please feel free to read the write-up I have submitted in the Remedies section of this web site.

After the first weekend of treatment, (2 sessions, 1 on the Saturday and 1 on the Sunday) I went home with an open mind.  I started taking the Harkers Natural remedies that Jocelyn had recommended, and within days started to feel better.  Within a few weeks, I felt nearly normal.

I went back down to see Jocelyn 4 - 6 weeks later.  I saw a huge improvement in all of the tests that she did, so much so, that I only needed one appointment that weekend.  (the other day I spent looking around the gorgeous vineyards in Blenheim with my partner!!)

Since then I have been having an absolute ball of a time (to say the least).  I have no day-to-day pain, and my sex life is fantastic.  I still need to read my body, and have noticed that as soon as I am feeling down, or a little depressed, my symptoms start rearing their ugly head.  HOWEVER this is a rare occasion, and my life now seems as though it is back to normality.

I wanted to share this with you all, to remind everyone that we CAN get through this, and we must all try every avenue to find the remedy that suits each and everyone of us.

Please feel free to email me regarding this treatment, or email Jocelyn direct on jocnian@xtra.co.nz as she is only too willing to help us out!!!

Take care

Vicky.

JULY 2001

I always thought these sorts of problems happened to other people… well I can tell you different now!

I am 23 years old and have had a warm, caring and loving past.  In the past I had often suffered from thrush and urinary infections, but no other problems have been an issue.  I suffered from glandular fever badly two years prior to vestibulitis.

One morning I woke to feel that I had a UTI.  Thinking that this would be the case, I took Ural sachets for about a week – this didn’t work.  I then decided it could be thrush, so used a thrush treatment cream for about a week – that didn’t work either.  From then on the process was hell.  Every GP I went to conducted the usual tests – STDs, thrush, urine etc… every test came back clear, but still, I had this pain.  The feeling was quite indescribable and has changed during the last two years.  From itchy and sore to hot to tight.

After visiting many GPs, I saw about three gynaecologists who did the usual internal examinations.  All of them could see that I was swollen and red, but all the tests came out clear.

During the first year the pain was constant – all day, every day.

No specific treatment has worked for me, however I do feel as though I am on the mend.

I find that relaxation is the key.  For a period of time prior to this condition I had been extremely stressed and found that I was constantly anxious.  Knowing and understanding this fact and dealing with it via positiveity and relaxation has helped me immensely.  For example whenever I am on holiday and extremely relaxed, my symptoms ease dramatically.

I also now have a new partner, and I had to go through the drama of explaining this condition to him.  I told him the facts straight up, and I must say I had an excellent response from him.  We have been together now for over 6 months, and now after about 1  1/2yrs of celibacy I have been able to start an “almost normal” sex life – which for me (well both of us) is absolutely fantastic!

We just take 1 day at a time!!!  I am now determined that this condition can be minimalised and constantly reassure myself of this fact.  My advice to other sufferers is to surround yourself with caring sensitive people and don’t let this condition hinder your life.
