Treatments The following is an outline of some of the treatments tried by the members of our group. Some descriptions may be more in-depth than others and where possible we have also provided links to information on other websites. We want these pages to document the experiences of women with vulvodynia and if you would like to submit some writing to this page, please email us. Please note that the information provided has not been verified by a doctor so always check it out first! Also, within our group our symptoms are very diverse. As a result what may work for one woman make another worse. The main advice I recommend is to learn as much about this condition as possible, learn to understand you body and then decide what treatments may work for you. Please click on the links below for further information: Information by Rebecca Randerson (a Wellington GP) on common treatments Other collected information: acigel acupuncture anti-depressants boric acid candida/anti-fungal treatments colour therapy contraceptive pill herbalist homeopathy low oxalate diet lubricants osteopathy pain killers physiotherapy relaxation techniques soap stress (implications of) steroid creams toilet paper ural xylocaine |
