Trumpets Rock, and everyone knows it. People may try to convince themselves that trumpets in fact do not rock, but the fact remains that no matter what, TRUMPETS ROCK.

Take into account some of the most famous trumpets players in the world.

Maynard Ferguson
Arturo Sandoval
Dizzy Gillespie
Miles Davis
Louis Armstrong
Doc Severinsen
Sergei Nakariakov
Wynton Marsalis
Jon Faddis

Now, you have undoubtedly heard of at least one or more of these trumpet players.  If you have not, or you want to see video and audio clips and pictures of a
whole lot of the best trumpet players in the world, I suggest you check out www.trumpetstuff.com.  This has to be, without a doubt, one of the best trumpet websites known to man.

Trumpets are, in any
normal circumstances, the leaders of the band.  You could also argue that the trumpets share this awesome responsibility with the drumline / rhythm section.  If you have ever been in a band, then you obviously know that this is the truth.  The trumpets are, in most if not all cases, the melody.  That means they are the most important part of the song.  They play the loudest, which shows superiority.  This is especially true in marching bands, pep bands, and jazz bands.  It is true still but to a lesser degree in concert band settings.  Also they are extremely versatile in playing styles and sounds.

Trumpets rock so so much in fact, that in the olden days kings and queens would be announced by these remarkable instruments.  Why?  Beacuse the trumpet is the grand, all-mighty, numero uno top most important instrument that anyone knows of.  Am I not right?  Of course I am right.  Even the Armed Forces have a trumpet play the things like taps etc.

If you don't believe or don't think that trumpets rock and that they are the coolest instrument ever and that they are the leaders of all bands, you don't have to take my word for it.  Check out the website
www.trumpetstuff.com and see for yourself.
"We grow up hearing that trumpeters blew down the walls of Jericho, that Gabriel's trumpet announces the will of God, and that the largest, and hippest, of all animals, the elephant, has a trunk mostly for trumpeting.  These grandiose images shape the classic trumpet persona:  brash, impetuous, cocky, cool, in command.  Anyone who has ever played in a band knows that if the conductor stops rehersal because a fight breaks out, if somebody takes you girlfriend, if a tasteless practical joke is pulled, if someone challenges every executive decision no matter how trivial, it's got to be a trumpet player.  That's just how we are."
~Wynton Marsalis
