As
we eradicate the Alien Invader Plants in our gardens, we need to replace them
with more environmentally suitable plants and so we need to plant Indigenous
plants. In the past these have not been promoted by our nurseries and so
they are not easy to obtain. However some very innovative nurserymen have
seen the light and are now stocking Indigenous plants. The
demand for indigenous plants is growing and will only grow if we the end user,
you and I, keep asking for Indigenous plants.
Please therefore support the following
nurseries
and
ask for Indigenous plants and also in which part of
South Africa they occur naturally.
Plants from the Cape don't necessarily do well in KZN!
