Square Dancing & Round Dancing   with Tom Aitken 416-741-5740      We have Square and Round Dancing for people who would like mid-week - mid-day  dancing. This is primarily, but not necessarily , seniors' time. If you are already a square or  round dancer and are interested, come along and enjoy a couple of hours dancing with us.      ROUND DANCING           Advanced, Phase III - Tuesdays, 11.00 am to 12.30 pm.           Beginners and, Phase I - Tuesdays, 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm.           Our leader and instructor is Norm Wilcox.      SQUARE DANCING           More advanced, Mainstream & A1 - Thursdays, 11.30 am to 1.00 pm.           Beginners and Mainstream - Thursdays, 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm.           Our caller and instructor is Al Calhoun. Come as a couple, but singles are welcomed and we help to find you a partner. Beginners are advised to join us in early September to start learning in a new class. West Acres Choir with Glen Shields 416-742-9241   The West Acres Choir meet Thursday mornings at 10.00 am in the Centre to practise. Any member of West Acres who is available is welcome to drop in to listen, and even join in the singing.      This enthusiastic group of singers enjoy presenting concerts to people in nursing homes; retirement homes; Salvation Army; Canadian Legion and other places around the Greater Toronto Area including our own West Acres Centre.  This last season we have given 19 performances to various places outside West Acres.      Liz Ghosh is our choir leader; doing an excellent job, and is very enthusiastic and well liked by the choir.      We are always looking for new members, people who just want to come out and sing and have an enjoyable time. We now have 25 members and have room for more.      If you would like the choir to visit and perform on a Thursday morning just contact our booking agent Tish McSwain at 416-244-6191.

Scottish Country Dancing   with Nora Sutherland 905-276-2602 Classes are on Monday Mornings from 10.30 am. to 12 noon. in the main hall. If you are interested in joining us we charge $2 a session. Visitors welcome to watch.

Rexdale Lawn Bowling Club   with Larry Fryer 647-345-0980 The club operates from May to October on the grounds at 65 Hinton Road. Membership is open to all ages and a fee of $90 per season is required to participate.

Table Tennis   you don't have to be an expert TUESDAY NIGHTS  7 pm to 9 pm FRIDAY MORNINGS   10 am to 12 noon Just drop in, we're in the main hall  -  $1 per visit, learners welcome.

Tea With Lil your hostess is Lil Scott Wednesdays at 11:00 am in the lounge. One loonie for tea or coffee with muffin Plus pleasant company and conversation.

Darts   the organizer is Art Howells at 416-741-0718 The darts club play every Wednesday afternoon at 1.00 pm. in the main hall. They welcome any visitor and prospective members to come and watch.

Shuffleboard   Tom Mingo is the leader at 416-249-3679 Shuffleboard is played every Friday afternoon at 1.00 pm. in the main hall. New players and visitors are welcome to watch.

Give Your Feet a Treat! Dr. Sterin, podiatrist, visits West Acres the second Thursday of each month   at 9.00 am. This service is on a first come, first serve basis and the fee is $5   per visit.
