Strix occidentalis
My most recent/common adventure has been my own job. In April (2001) I moved to the Olympic Penninsula,. . . .yes, heart of the debate,. . . .to work on Northern Spotted Owls. I returned for the 2002 season, and have spent the 2003 season in the El Dorado Forest working on the California Spotted Owl. I’m going to attempt to share some picts and stories,. . .without divulging anything that might get me into trouble (both studies are ongoing and the Northern Spotted Owl is an endangered species)
Northern Spotted Owls and basics of owl demographic studies (2001)
