Lost in a dream

chapter five

Shane wasn't looking very good when we got to the hotel. "Are you feeling OK?" I asked him. He said yes, but he wasn't convinced. That's when I noticed Nicky was worried about Shane, too. He put his hand on his shoulder and asked him if he was really feeling OK. Shane got pissed off and shouted: "Can't you understand that I'm fine?!", but it was obviously that he wasn't.

They asked us upstairs and we went, of course! They had rented a three-room apartment, two bedrooms and a living room. We sat on a cosy couch in the living room while the guys excused themselves and got into their rooms. I was worried about Shane… We were able to hear them giggling asking one another for shirts and trousers. I took the remote and turn on the TV looking for MTV. Bryan got into the room asking: "Did you see a grey T-shirt anywhere around?". He was wearing only a towel wrapped around his waist and he was looking pretty fine I might add. He noticed I wasn't saying anything and that my friend was drewling, he got red and left the room. If Bryan was a little bit embarrassed, Kian felt like home. He came in saying there was no room for him to dress up so he decided to watch TV with us until everybody else would be ready. Let's face it: you don't get to see good looking guys with only towels around their waists everyday, but those were the guys from Westlife with only towels around their waists! So it was heavenly.

I was brought back to reality by Nicky's scream: "Oh my God! Shane! Are you OK? Shane? Call an ambulance!". I jumped right away, I knew I had to stay calm. I told my friend to call an ambulance and went into the room. Shane was lying unconscious and Nicky was crying and saying: "I knew he wasn't feeling very well. I should've done something!". He told me that Shane was having these kind of problems after some shows, but the last time it had happened was months ago. I asked them to leave the room and they looked at me real puzzled. "What?", Nicky said. "Please, I'll explain later" I told them. They sensed I wasn't going to do anything wrong and they left the room. I said myself I had to help Shane.
