chapter one
"Nicky get into the car now!" Antone interrupted. "Look I’ll have to go" and with that Nicky gave Sarah a kiss on the cheek and got into the car. Within moments the car had driven off down the road. Sarah was smiling from ear to ear. She had never been as happy as she was when she was Nicky. She hated it when he left but she knew it was his job.
"I think we had better go, and quickly" Angel said pulling Sarah’s arm. Sarah looked around to see everyone staring at her with looks that could kill. Sarah agreed and they walked quickly to the tube station. Nicky had offered to get her a car and a driver but Sarah didn’t want anything from Nicky but his heart. She didn’t want anyone saying she was only seeing Nicky because he was in a pop group. She loved Nicky for being Nicky but had not yet told him.
At this precise moment Sarah was regretting having not taken Nicky up on his offer. They managed to reach the tube station within minutes but as they turned to enter it they could see a bunch of girls following them. They must just wanna get a train home. Sarah said to herself trying to reassure herself that she was OK. But deep down she knew something bad was going to happen. The train came straight away, much to the relief of both Angel and Sarah. They got on the train and sat down with a sigh of relief. "God that was close. Sarah I beg you, take Nicky up on that offer. Please you never know what could happen." Angel pleaded but Sarah was not listening because she had just seen who had got on the train. Angel looked to see where Sarah was looking and her jaw dropped. She couldn’t believe that that they had got on the train.
"They could just be making their way home Angel" Sarah repeated thinking that maybe if she said it aloud that it would convince her. It didn’t. The phone rang and Sarah fumbled in her handbag to find it.
"Hello?" Sarah asked. "Hi Sarah, it’s Nicky. Are you OK? I saw the way those girls looked at you..." "Nicky look I’m fine honest..." "Is there anyway that you could put Shane on the phone I need to ask him something" Angel interrupted. "Shane? Erm... I think we’re in trouble, is there anyway that you could meet us somewhere please?" Angel said. Sarah lost the rest of the conversation in worry over what was going to happen. Those girls just kept looking over. Their eyes showed so much hatred. She could hear them calling her a bitch in the overly loud way people do. "Don’t you just hate it when people think that they know the lads personally when they don’t" One girl said making sure it was at the correct amplitude for Sarah to hear.
The doors opened for Oxford Circus. Angel pulled Sarah as quickly as she could, out the still opening doors. The girls were quick to react and got off the train too. They were running as fast as they could amongst the thick crowds of the tube station but the girls seemed to be gaining on them. The ran up the escalators half-pushing over everyone that they past... Angel was still holding on to Sarah’s hand. Angel didn’t have a clue what they were going to do once outside the station but Sarah wasn’t to know that. They managed to reach the ticket man and tried to pass him but he stopped them to ask for the tickets. Sarah fumbled in her bag. Shaking so much that there was no way that she was going to find the ticket before the girls caught up with them. Angel realised this and they ran off leaving behind the shouts from the ticket man. The girls were still gaining on them. The crowds were thickening and Angel was losing her grip on Sarah’s hand. They continued to run, past staring commuters and angry tube staff.
Angel pulled Sarah in the direction of the exit but found that she had lost hold of Sarah’s hand. Sarah soon realised that she had lost Angel but continued to head towards the exit in the hope that Angel would be there. Sarah was now crying, the tears blurred her vision but she didn’t care she knew she just had to get out. She ran up the stairs finally reaching the outside world. "ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" She screamed as she was knocked to the floor.
