I have been owned by Aussies since 1997. At present I have Kharma & Savanna. I train and show actively in conformation and agility and have also trained and trialed on stock. The dogs have become a joint venture with my mother Martha who is now as addicted to the breed as I am! My mother first introduced me to training and competing with purebred dogs when I was a child. She has been training and trialing in obedience (and more recently rally and tracking) for more than thirty years. We cooperate on training and competing with the dogs and between the two of us we cover a lot of ground in various venues. I am a member of ASCA, CKC, and also ASC of B.C. (Australian Shepherd Club of B.C.), our local ASCA affiliate.
After a disastrous experience puchasing my first Aussie several years ago I am a big advocate of really doing your homework and checking out your breeder before buying a dog. Aussies aren't the breed for everyone and finding a good breeder or a rescued Aussie can take some research. If you have questions about finding an Aussie I am happy to help.
