The Landing Waving good bye for the last time, Brim turned and began his walk to the fabled city of Palanthas. Entering the woods edge from off the beach, he looks at the sun and smiles happily. Thinking to himself "A sunny day is a Happy day"After entering the forest and a short distance in. Brim comes across a large flat rock and takes a seat in the center of it. Here he decides to sit and meditate, to become more in touch with his surroundings. Old but fresh memories rush into his thoughts. Once he has settled himself and closed his eyes, he thinks deeply remembering his days amoung his family of Kagonesti elves. After feeling his sences come more aware of everything, Brim opens his eyes and stands to stretch. Standing very straight and still Brim gazes out over this new forest. Satisfied, he gathered himself up and steped down off the rock. Looking down apon the forest floor Brim sees that there are fresh deer tracks. Kneeling down to take a closer examination he also notices that they lead off straight ahead of him. Brim stands and decides to folow them since they seem to be going in the direction he is headed. |
Taking a moment to look up into the trees. Brim smiles again as he watches the clouds move through the sky and flutter the sunlight even more then what it was already, from coming through the slits and cracks in the forests ceiling. After a happy thought or two, Brim starts to follow the trail that lies before him. Not but ten steps onto the trail and the sounds of snapping twigs could be heard, to his left. Brim spins on his heel defensively, and there in front of him a deer darts out of the brush and dashes away to the south. But it only darted about twenty yards before it stopped and turned to stand there and stare at him. Time seemed to stop... But before another thought went through Brim's mind, the deer seemed to nod at him then turn and continue running off. Seemingly vanishing amoung the forest trees. Grinning from ear to ear now, Brim Laughs. After looking around for a little Brim gets back to following the trail. Going through The brush and stopping here and there to look at pretty flowers. Brim had never even took notice or even thought much about it, but he was following the deer that ran before him. Walking now loosened him up. From being a passenger upon that ship for such a time had made him quite stiff. Brim then brings a tune... |
