Before I drift off to sleep,
Tears start to fall,
As I lay here and silently weep.
I want to feel you next to me,
Forever this is how I want us to be.
My heart cries out, life isn't fair.
Why must we feel such hurt and despair.

Longing to feel your lips upon mine.
To look at your soft warm face,

God knew my life was empty, I needed you.
