For as long as I can remember I had always wanted a little girl, but after having four boys it seemed like it just was not meant to be.
News of my fifth pregnacy caught me by surprise. An ultrasound confirmed my baby was a girl and needless to say I was elated. Around my third month I got a severe kidney infection and a doctor perscribed medication that I later found out was not strong enough to treat the infection. It cleard up for a while but then around my fith month it came back full force, I was admitted to the hospital with a temperature of 103 that lasted for three days. They had to treat me with the strongest antibiotic available before the infection got under control.
After I was released and went home, I had a dream that I gave birth to a little girl who was very small and had some medical problems. I begged to hold her and the doctors gave her to me....that was the first and last time I got to hold her. Little did I know that this dream would come true. |
