(Meanwhile, at Alexa and Elena’s house…Alexa is sitting in her room…playing with the puppy, Rocky)
Alexa: (picks up Rocky) You are such a good puppy…cutie cutie puppy…puppy wuppy.
(Phone rings)
Alexa: (picks up the phone) Heeeeello.
Brian: Hey.
Alexa: Hi.
Brian: Can I come over?
Alexa: I guess so.
Brian: I don’t want to bother you.
Alexa: No bother…just playing with my new puppy.
Brian: Ok…I’ll be there in a few. (Hangs up)
Alexa: (to the puppy) Daddy is coming over.
(Ten minutes later, Brian arrives and lets himself in)
Brian: ALEXA…WHERE ARE YOU?
Alexa: (from upstairs) I’M IN MY ROOM.
Brian: K. (Walks up to the room to see Alexa lying on the bed with the puppy on her tummy…sleeping)
Alexa: Shhhhh…he’s sleeping.
Brian: That is soo cute.
Alexa: I know it…so wasup?
Brian: Well, I think we should talk about what is happening between us.
Alexa: Ok.
Brian: (sits down next to her) You want to move our relationship forward…am I right?
Alexa: If you want to call it that.
Brian: But I thought we agreed to take things slow.
Alexa: It’s been a year Brian…I don’t think we can take things any slower.
Brian: (sigh) I never told you about my last relationship...did I?
Alexa: No.
Brian: I dated this girl for three years…I even proposed to her…then one day…I decided to come back from tour early and surprise her.
Alexa: You proposed to her?
Brian: (continuing) Only to my surprise, she was in bed with someone else. It’s scary to give myself to someone without the fear that it will happen again.
Alexa: You think I would do that to you?
Brian: No…I thought that I would die after I found her with that other guy…then I met you…and I never felt this way about anyone else…and I’m just scared of getting hurt again…which is why I’m taking this super slow.
Alexa: (sits up with the puppy still on her) I didn’t know Brian…I’m soo sorry.
Brian: I do want to move forward with you…which is why I have to ask you something.
Alexa: Ok what?
Brian: Do you want to move in together?
Alexa: Of course I do…but I don’t want to leave Elena alone.
Brian: I know that…that’s why I was thinking of moving out of my apartment.
Alexa: I have to ask Elena first.
Brian: That’s fair. Just for the record, I do want to marry you someday…I’m just not ready yet.
Alexa: (sniff) Oh that’s sooo cute. (Hugs Brian forgetting the dog is sleeping on her and winds up smooshing the dog, who lets out a lil bark, Alexa pulls back) Awww…poor Rocky…I’m sorry…(Kisses the dog on the nose)
Brian: Rocky? You named it Rocky?
Alexa: I named him after his dad…get it…B-rok…Rocky.
Brian: I feel so honored. (They kiss)
