(At the double date with Liz, AJ, Sandra, and Matt)
Liz: So…Matt…what do you do?
Matt: I work for People Magazine…doing layouts.
AJ: You aren’t trying to dig up dirt are you?
Sandra: AJ!
AJ: What? You know I can’t really trust reporters…or people working for magazines…too many risks at stake.
Matt: Well, there is no need for that…my job is to basically make sure there are no giant holes on the pages.
Liz: Awesome. I’ve had some of my photos published in People.
Matt: Which ones?
Liz: Pictures of Julia Roberts for the 50 most beautiful people…and Nick.
Matt: No way, I did the layout for that.
Liz: Nice job.
Matt: Why thank you.
Sandra: (whispering to Liz) See…I told you you’d get along with him.
AJ: Dinner was great…how about a movie or something?
Liz: Cool…I really really wanna see that Matthew McConahey movie.
Matt: I heard great things about that movie.
Sandra: Which movie is that?
Liz: You know…the U-571329 movie.
Matt: It’s U-571…but close enough.
Sandra: Ooooo…let’s go see that one.
AJ: Let’s go…don’t know when the next one starts.
(They all get up and leave to go see the movie)
(Back with Kayla and Elena, the robbers have left)
Elena: (sitting up) Kayla, you ok?
Kayla: Uuuuh…I don’t think so.
Elena: (goes over to Kayla) Oh my god…Kayla…you’ve been shot.
Kayla: I know…and it hurts like a bitch!
Elena: (puts pressure on the wound) (crying) SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!
Kayla: Dude…this really hurts. In the TV shows…it looks ok…but THIS REALLY HURTS!
Elena: Kayla…whatever you do…don’t move.
Kayla: Won’t be a problem.
(Police officer comes over to Kayla and Elena)
Officer: Everyone all right over here?
Kayla: Lemme ask you a question officer.
Officer: Ok.
Kayla: See the blood?
Officer: (looks down)
Kayla: DOES THAT ANSWER YOUR STUPID QUESTION?!?
Officer: Help is on the way…just take it easy. (To Elena) Keep putting pressure on the wound.
Elena: No shit sherlock…sorry.
(The officer goes and checks on the other customers and then goes outside to wait for the ambulance)
Kayla: Lane?
Elena: Yea Kay?
Kayla: I need Kevin.
Elena: We’ll have someone call him when we get you to a hospital.
Kayla: I don’t wanna die.
Elena: It’s going to be fine Kayla…it’s going to be fine.
(The ambulance arrives and the EMT’s rush over to where Kayla and Elena are)
EMT: Who’s hurt?
Elena: She is.
EMT: Thank you ma’am…we’ll take it from here.
(The EMT’s do their stuff and take Kayla away…one EMT comes back for some supplies they left near Elena. Elena is still sitting where they left her. She is shaking.)
EMT2: Ma’am…you look really pale.
Elena: Well, my friend just got shot…how am I supposed to look?
EMT2: Were you hurt?
Elena: Not that I know of.
EMT2: (looks down and sees Elena’s leg covered in blood) Let me look at your leg.
Elena: I don’t feel so good. (Passes out)
EMT2: WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE OVER HERE!
