Dr. Miller: (comes out of the room 10 minutes later) I’m so sorry…but Ms. Rodgers is gone.
Kevin: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?
Carol: I thought you said she was going to be fine…
Kevin: SHE CAN’T BE GONE…(runs into the room, pushes the nurses out of the way, and holds Kayla)
Dr. Miller: She had more internal bleeding than we could fix. I’m sorry.
Jimmy: THAT WAS MY SISTER YOU ASSHOLE! (Goes to punch the doctor but Charlie holds him back and hugs Jimmy)
(An hour later)
Sandra: Oh my god! Elena and Nick don’t know.
Howie: I’ll go tell them.
AJ: We all will.
(They all go to tell Elena and Nick that Kayla has passed on. When they get there, they see Elena sleeping…and Nick holding her hand sleeping in the chair next to Elena’s bed)
AJ: (shakes Nick lightly to wake him up) Nick man…get up.
Elena: (hears AJ she wakes up. She looks over and sees the gang in the doorway…with a smile on her face) Hey guys.
(All the girls are in a lil group hugging and crying)
Nick: (wakes up and looks around) What’s going on?
Howie: We have some bad news.
Elena: (worried looks to Alexa) Alexa?
(Alexa doesn’t answer…she just starts crying harder)
Nick: (getting worried) What’s going on?
Elena: Oh my god! I’m not going to die am I?
Brian: (tearing up) No…you’re not going to die…
AJ: We have some news about Kayla.
Howie: She’s gone Elena.
Elena: (not understanding) Where did she go?
AJ: (points to the sky)
Nick: Canada?
Howie: (smacks Nick in the back of the head) No.
Brian: She died in her sleep an hour ago.
Elena: Oh…my god.
Nick: What happened?
AJ: She had more internal bleeding than they thought.
Elena: She can’t be gone…she has to get married next week…you guys said she was fine…you lied to me…I can’t believe anything you say…get out.
Alexa: (composes herself…a little) Lane…Kayla is gone.
Elena: NO…GET OUT!
Nick: (gets up) Come on guys…let Elena be alone for awhile.
Elena: You leave too Nick!
Nick: But Lane…
Elena: LEAVE…NOW!
(Everyone leaves and Elena bursts into tears)
(Back to Kevin and the family in with Kayla. Jimmy is holding his mom who is hysterical…Kevin is still sitting next to Kayla holding her hand)
Charlie: (puts his hand on Kevin’s shoulder) Kevin…she is gone.
Kevin: NO…(looks down at Kayla) she’s just sleeping…come on Kayla…wake up now.
Charlie: (tearing up) Kevin…come on…she is gone.
Kevin: She can’t be gone…we have to get married…she can’t be…(breaks down into tears)
Charlie: Come here. (Hugs Kevin)
Kevin: I can’t leave her…
Carol: (gets up and goes over to Kevin and Charlie) Kevin…I have to tell you something.
Charlie: Not now Carol.
Carol: No matter what happens in the future…you will always be part of this family. (Joins in the hug)
Jimmy: Hey! I wanna be in the group hug too…(runs over and joins them)
