(Nick goes to the girls house and rings the doorbell) Taylor: (from inside) Reagan…can you get that? (Ding-dong) Taylor: Damn, she went for her run. (Gets up from her bed, walks down the stairs, and opens the door) Nick: Hey Taylor. Taylor: (sighs) Hi Nick. You want to come in? Nick: If that’s ok. Taylor: Sure why not? (Steps out of the way so Nick can come in) So what can I do for you? Nick: I was just wondering if you were ok. (They go and sit down in the living room) Taylor: Oh yea, fine. I just always love getting drunk and sleeping with guys I hardly know. Nick: He shouldn’t have done that to you. Taylor: That’s the thing Nick. If I didn’t want it to happen I would have stopped it. Nick: (with a sad look on his face) So you like him huh? Taylor: Yes, but not the way you’re thinking. Nick: Oh. Taylor: Can I ask you something? Nick: Sure. Taylor: It’s kind of direct though. Nick: Um, ok. Taylor: You like me don’t you? Nick: (shocked) What? Taylor: You heard me, and based on the reaction I just got, I’d say I’m right on the money. Nick: (blushes) Well, um…kind of. Taylor: Thanks Nick. But you don’t know me either. Nick: But I’d like to get to know you better. Taylor: (smiles) Ok, here’s the deal, I’m a totally honest person. I don’t want to get into a relationship right now…with anyone. But I could use a friend right now. You interested? Nick: I’ll have to think about it. Taylor: Don’t hurt yourself now. Nick: Funny. (Pretends to think) Ok. I think I can deal with that. Taylor: Thank you. (Kisses his cheek) Now, I don’t want you to tell anyone about what happened between AJ and me. And I don’t want him to know that I hate his guts right now either. Can you do that for me? Nick: Your secret is safe with me. Even though everyone has a pretty good idea of what happened. Now, can I ask you something? Taylor: Sure thing. Nick: Was I that obvious? Taylor: No, I really didn’t think about it. But when you came over, I knew. Nick: Oh, ok. (Nick and Taylor talk for a few more minutes, and Nick goes and leaves. Reagan comes back from her jog and storms into the house.) Taylor: Glad to see that jog has brightened up your mood. Reagan: Shut up Taylor. Taylor: What did I do? Reagan: (sighs) Nothing. (Goes to get a bottle of water and sits next to Taylor) Taylor: Don’t nothing me. You know you can tell me anything. Cause I plan on venting a lot today. Reagan: He will never like me. Taylor: Ooooo, boy trouble. Now which he would we be talking about? Reagan: (mumbles) Taylor: ‘scuse me? Didn’t quite here that. Reagan: I said Nick ok. Happy now. Doesn’t matter anyway, he wants you…like all the guys do. Taylor: First of all, not all the guys want me. Second of all, I know about Nick and I basically shot him down. Third of all, how come you didn’t tell me sooner? Reagan: I’m not an open book like you Tay. Taylor: Well, I’ll just have to play matchmaker now won’t I? Reagan: No, please don’t. Taylor: Awwww come on. It will be fun. Reagan: For you anyway. Taylor: And you too. (The phone rings) Reagan: I’ll get it. (Gets up and gets the phone) hello? AJ: Um, hi Ray. Reagan: Hey AJ. (Looks at Taylor) What can I do for you? AJ: Can I please talk to Taylor? Reagan: (looks at Taylor shaking her head no) Sorry AJ, she’s kind of not talking to anyone at the moment. AJ: (sighs) Ok. Can you just tell her that I’m sorry? Reagan: I will. AJ: Ok thanks. Bye. (Hangs up the phone) Reagan: Bye. (Hangs up) You’re welcome Tay. (Looks at her friend who is crying and goes to sit next to her) Taylor: I can never face him again. Reagan: Yes, you can. Taylor: Sure, right, whatever. Reagan: Want to talk about it? (Taylor just nods. The girls talk for a good 2 hours.) |
