Kayla: How long til we know?
Elena: Another two minutes. (Pause) So if you are…what are you going to do?
Kayla: I don’t know. I’ll keep it…but I don’t know what Kevin would want. (Pause) What about you?
Elena: I don’t know. I’m only 20…Nick’s career is going strong…I don’t know how he would feel about it.
Kayla: So that means?
Elena: I don’t know. First I have to get through this test, then from there we’ll have to decide what would be best for us at this time in our lives. (Timer goes off. They both jump.) Well…it’s time.
Kayla: Oh shit. (Gets up and gets her test and Elena gets up and gets her test. They come back and sit down where they were, not saying anything)
Elena: Ready?
Kayla: (nods) Ready. (They both flip over the tests and read them)
Elena: (starts to cry)
Kayla: (starts to cry)
Elena: Kayla? Are you…(looks at Kayla) cause I’M NOT!
Kayla: (sits there for a little while not saying anything)
Elena: Kayla…Kayla…oh my god…Kayla? Are you…
Kayla: I’m pregnant!
(The next day, Liz, Elena, Kayla, and Sandra are all over Liz’s house to help her plan the wedding)
Liz: This is so much easier without AJ here.
Elena: Yeah I could imagine.
Liz: So Sandra, what do you think of this color for the dresses? (Holds up a swatch of material and Sandra is just staring into space) Sandra…earth to Sandra? (Hits her) What’s up with you?
Sandra: Oh what? Nothing. Just thinking…
Elena: About Howie?
Sandra: Ummm…yeah.
Kayla: This is such nice fabric…(sniff) it’s so…pretty. (Starts to cry)
Liz: Kayla are you ok?
Kayla: I always cry at weddings.
Elena: (hands a tissue to Kayla) She just misses Kevin that’s all. Have you guys heard anything from them lately?
Liz: I talked to AJ two nights ago. He said everything was going well and that he missed me.
Kayla: Awwwww…that’s so cute.
Liz: Oh…I have to show you guys my dress.
Elena: You have it already?
Sandra: She’s wearing our mothers.
Kayla: That is so…cute. (Sniff)
Liz: (looks at Kayla) Let…me go try it on.
Elena: Ok.
(Phone rings)
Liz: (from her room) Can someone get that?
Sandra: Sure. (Gets up and walks over to the phone) Hello?
AJ: Hey Sandra…where’s Liz?
Sandra: She’s modeling for us. How are you?
AJ: I’m good.
Sandra: That’s great.
AJ: You sound happy.
Sandra: No more than usual.
Kevin: (to AJ) Hey are the girls by Liz?
AJ: (to Kevin) Yeah you want to talk to Kayla?
Kevin: Yes.
AJ: (back into phone) Can Kevin talk to Kayla?
Sandra: Hey Kay, Kevin wants to talk to you. (She turns around to hand the phone to Kayla and Kayla runs towards the bathroom) Ok. Tell Kevin she is in the bathroom.
AJ: (to Kevin) She’s in the bathroom man.
Kevin: (takes the phone from AJ) Is she ok?
Sandra: She’s had a stomach bug for the past couple of days. I don’t know.
Kevin: Oh well, tell her I miss her and that I love her.
Sandra: Will do.
Kevin: AJ wants you to tell Liz that he loves her. We have to work now.
Sandra: Ok. Bye Kev.
Kevin: Bye. (They hang up)
Liz: (comes out in her wedding dress) Who was on the phone?
Elena: It was AJ. (Looks up and sees her in her wedding dress) Wow…you look beautiful.
Liz: Thanks.
Kayla: (comes out of the bathroom) Liz…you look gorgeous.
Liz: Thanks you guys. That means a lot to me.
