Scratch came into my life back in September '00. He came along with his sister Saffie and a three story metal cage. I got them from a co-worker's boyfriend who didn't have time to take care of them anymore.
Scratch had a bad biting habbit at first. But eventually he was broken of it by a flick on the nose everytime he bit. Now only occasionally, like if very scared, will he snap out at you.
Weighing in at 2.7 lbs, Scratch is the heaviest of the ferrets. His favorite thing to eat is tuna flavored kitten treats. But he won't say no to the occasional strip of chicken meat. His favorite hiding places are under the dresser and under the couch. And his favorite girl to hang out with is Princess.
Scratch HATES it when you put something on the rim of the bathtub. Though he's not allowed in the bathroom (we keep chemicels in there) he still tries and sometimes does get in. If anything is on the bathtub rim, Scratch has to knock it down into the tub. There went my idea of decorating with rubber duckies.
He is a sable ferret, on the light side of the color chart. Please see his pictures below.
