This store has been around for a very long, long time. It is unsure of when it was first built but it dates back to before 1992. The store has never been renovated, it still has the original look, which is rather rare now-a-days, but is this a good thing or a bad thing.
We are gonna take you back to the early days of when Strez first walked around the back for his first shift back in December 98.
The managers were just changing because of a huge scandal that had taken place, probably one of the most serious scandals that the store has seen. What had happened is that a manager named Tom was convicted of sexual assault to two young girls (who stayed onto work for another 2 years). Yes it was his fault and he shouldn’t have done it but it was also partially the girls’ fault as well. It had to do with getting genital piercing. He showed, then had a look at there’s and then the girls regretted it.
Tom now is in jail. The other two managers Kathy and Phil had to change stores. Strez only worked with Kathy and Phil twice before they left. In came the new breed of managers. Store manager Vianney and the two assistant managers Frank and Jude. The management had gone from being fun and lenient to dull and more by the book.
But what could you do. The store didn’t change that much initially. People still ate food on the job while looking through the burger bench gap to see if the managers were coming. Also the store was never as busy as it is today, and the prices were so much cheaper it’s not funny (back then a family feast was $17.95, now it’s $21.95).
Jude’s shifts were the easiest shifts to muck around on because he was a pretty laizzez-faire manager, lazy in other words. But soon he found his most hated team member, Strez.
Jude would swear at Strez (back then known only as Chris) and they would argue. Eventually after about 1 or 2 years later Jude had a car accedent and could no more travel that far to Beechboro so he got a transfer, which put a smile on Strez’s face. Jude now no longer works for the company.
But was the change of manager gonna be a good one. I don’t think so. Phil (a previous Beechboro manager) was brought back. Before he left the first time he organized a dress up KFC party, the theme was kids. An awfully unbearable sight as fat Phil had dressed in nothing but a white towel as a nappy.
A lot of people dreaded Phil because of his bastard ways. He was a very unlikable person always bossing people around and yelling at them. He never gave trainees a chance, which is unfair. He did how ever have his favourites but they still didn’t pass a yell when he was angry.
This was around the time another huge KFC scandal began. Team members had discovered a way to steal money from the tills undetected. There was no cameras back then so it was very easy and simple to do. Suzanne was one of the first to do it. Of course before this started there was the occasional ‘2 dollar take out’ but nothing much. This new scheme however saw worker taking out $20 and over. There was a small elite group of people that knew about it which was good because it wouldn’t have a huge effect on the till’s money.
But soon it escalated and the elite group grew and grew. The money also grew from being a measly $20 to hundreds of dollars. Later this would once again escalated to about $450 a night, about $1200 a week, just from one person. There was said at one stage to be a KFC spy. Nigel was said to be the spy. Olivia thought the only way to make him on our side was to get him to join and let the trainee in on the secret. Another mistake. Soon nearly everyone was doing it.
In the mean time Strez was caught steeling a apple Danish by Vianney and was given a written warning. This resulted in no one being able to take food home. Strez decided to take a 2 months off. First week back he got caught giving out a free chips.
Eventually the whole stealing money thing became visible as trays of chicken went missing and unaccounted for. Strez was automatically a prime suspect even though he had stopped doing it long before.
Eventually Phil had was moved to another store. This was the begin of bad things to come. A new manager was appointed. Her name….Malu.
She was set to right all the wrongs, and to an extent she did.
She was also determined to create the best C.H.A.M.P.S team ever seen. The first C.H.A.M.P.S team included: Elika, Zorica, Suzanne, Fanchini and Olivia. The funny thing was they were the main culprits in the money stealing fiasco and they were here to maybe represent WA. If only Malu knew. Eventually Elika and Zorica were caught and eventually fired, Olivia quit and Fan and Suzanne stayed on.
The money stealing had to be stopped so eventually cameras were installed. The money no longer went missing, a good move by KFC.
Malu has since changed a lot of the rules of the store, angering the workers. Workers are getting dumber and dumber and the prices never cease to stop rising. And finally the store will be renovated next year.
The latest scandal is all the rumors that have begun to circle the store. The store has turned into a ses pool of gossip, betrayal and even love. Even the managers have gotten in on the gos.
The last person to get fired was Tim but for some strange reason he came back.
Later a new scandal was underway, the burger combo stamp coupons. KFC brougth in a new kind of promotion. Being very 'Subwayish' they created a "Buy 4 burger combos, get them stamped off and the 5th combo is FREE". This immediatly caught the attentions of several works at Beechboro. Stamp heaps of cards yourself and then you have a supply of free meals whenever and where ever you want. Many workers didn't risk it as they feared the cameras would catch all illegal activities. But it still didn't stop 2 very bright workers. Once again Strez with the joint forces of Liam stamped each about 20 cards, thats 40 free meals. The mistake was made when the very second day of the promotion one of the two workers went to recieve there free combo. They were given weird looks but the card was excepted. Later the news travelled to the store of Beechboro and then interagation was put into practise. Liam later confessed which resaulted in Strez being caught out also. Still the truth was bent a little to avoid complete termination "Yeh we only took one" yeah right.
