Snack At The Aryth Sea Inn

Ingredients:
Kelp, cut into bite sized pieces (Wash it, then dry it before deep
frying. I mean REALLY dry it. It's only dry when it becomes stiff again)
Bowl of white sifted sugar
Oil for deep frying

1) Heat oil until ideal for deep frying.
2) Deep fry kelp. This will cause the kelp to actually crinkle up like
potato chips and grow crispy. This takes about half  minute per piece.
Kelps is dark green and it's hard to tell if it's burnt. Just take it that
once it's seems to have stiffened, ya can take it out.
3) Immediately coat it with sugar. This means burying it in the bowl of
sugar immediately then taking it out after the sugar has formed a
coating around it. The sugar should remove most of the excess oil. So if ya
sugar gets slimy with oil. Use a new bowl. Work with me here.

Kelp is some kinda seaweed I think and this is a Japanese snack. A lil
bitter after taste but goes great with beer.

Seanchan Sea and Land Exotics Soup

Ingredients:
5 lbs of beef, thinly sliced
4 kelp leaves, cut into bite sized pieces (This is roughly about 3
inches by
20 inches per piece)
1 turnip, chopped into chunks
4 medium sized carrots, chopped into chunks
1 clove of garlic, minced
3 shallots, minced
Pepper
4 cups of water
1 tablespoon of cooking oil

Methodology:
1) In oil, dry shallots and garlic until fragrant.
2) Add beef in and stir fry until semi cooked (Medium raw sorta look)
3) Add in water, kelp, carrots and turnip.
4) Boil for an hour and a half on low heat
5) Check if turnip and carrots are cooked and soft. Please do this
because we all have different ideas of what chunks are. Take one out, and bite it and see if it's soft.
