Cairhiern Layered Diplomacy or a simple Game of Houses

This Cairhiern recipe is simple and balanced both sides of any argument
(hot and sweet) very well.
Loved by many a commoner who has little time for an elaborate meal.

Ingredients:
- 18 ounce of potatoes
- 3 sliced Onions
- 5 Ice Peppers, or if not available, 5 Chilli Peppers sliced in rings
- 3.5 ounce of sliced Mushrooms
- 1 ounce of raisins
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 3 sliced tomatoes
- Cheese (young or old, whatever you like)

Take a big dish that can hold all the ingredients and is oven proof.
Grease it up a bit with some oil. Sunflower or olive oil is preferred.
Cook the potatoes so that they are halfway done. Let them cool off a bit
and slice them up as one would do a Trolloc.
Pre-heat up your oven at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit).
Make the first layer by making a bottom of all the sliced potatoes.
From there on the dish is layered with all the ingredients. The second
layer are the onions. The third layer are the Tomatoes. The Fourth layer
are the Mushrooms. The fifth layer are the Peppers. The sixth layer are
the Banana slices. Scatter the raisins (which you have washed of course)
over the Banana Slices and top with the cheese. Keep in mind that if
you use a young cheese or cheese like Mozzarella you cant top the dish
with the cheese yet for it will burn in the oven.
If youre not sure, keep the cheese off the dish until about 10 minutes
before it is finished. Then open the oven and scatter the cheese over
the Banana slices.
The dish takes about 30 till 40 minutes to bake in the pre-heated oven.
Now, eat up and experience the taste of the Game!

                                     Spiced Clarry (Spiced wine)

1 bottle (750 mll) of an inexpensive, sweet white wine
1 -2 cups honey
1 tbs. each cinnamon, galingale (or substitute ginger), & cardamom
1 tsp. white pepper
cheesecloth
Bring the wine and honey to a boil; reduce heat & skim off the scum as
it rises. Taste for sweetness; add honey as necessary. Remove from heat,
stir in spices, and allow to sit covered for 24 hours. After sitting,
the spices will create a thick residue which will settle to the bottom.
Using a ladle, pass the wine into another container through a strainer
lined with 2 or 3 layers of cheesecloth to remove the spices, being
careful to leave as much of the spice residue in the pot as possible.
Bottle. Make at least 1 month before serving. A good Clarrey aged for a
year or more is exquisite!
