Barfly!! |
This portion of the site is most obviously dedicated to the band Barfly. Barfly are an awesome band based out of Manchester, England. The band members are Michael (guitar), Greg (vocals), Lee (drums), and Neil (bass).
Biography Throughout the past year barfly have played high profile support gigs with the likes of Longview, Snow Patrol, Puressence, Oceansize, 22 20`s, Brendan Benson and The Bandits. All these slots were gained via promoters on the strength of the current demo alone. The band have generated a tremendous buzz both locally and through their online web community. Recent shows, including their own Club night "Unbreakable", have been a huge success and attendees have included members of highly respected local bands such as Haven, Alfie, Elbow and The Smiths. The band spent much of 2003 and early 2004 writing and recording their debut album. They are currently looking for the right label to release their material. The album track "It's got to get better" was recently played on Radio 1 by Alan Mcgee. His "Death Disco" programme showcases songs by his favourite new bands, who he believes are good enough to break through into the mainstream. I don't really know what to put here right now, since the only people who will see this aren't from America, and all the Americans that WILL see this will have absolutely no idea what it's about. Hrm. I'll think of something soon. Mikey, this is for you, lol.
