1. 1024x768? or 1152x864
They're screen resolutions that make your desktop look (I guess better) 
and ables you to view this site correctly.
How to do it? 
Windows: right click anywhere on the desktop and choose the settings 
tab and move it to 1024x768 rather than 800x600 or 640x480.
Mac: On the control strip click on the icon that has a little screen and 
select the 1024x768 resolution or higher.

2.What programs for graphics do I use?
I use photoshop,paintshop-pro,fireworks and other stuff....
