2 cups all purpose flour 2 Tbls. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. chopped rosemary 1/2 cup butter 1 cup milk
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and rosemary. Cut butter into flour mixture until it resembles pea-like crumbles. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in 2/3 cup milk. Start kneading in the bowl, and if you need to add the rest of the milk. Turn dough onto floured board and knead 13 times. Roll out, using a rolling pin, and cut into round shapes, either with a cookie cutter or a knife. Bake for 12 - 15 minutes, until browned on top. Serve with butter and honey. Makes 12 biscuits. |
