I’m not the only one who needed medieval clothes when we went to Bicolline this summer. My boyfriend also did. For weeks, I asked him what he wanted and he had no ideas. Then, he found a pattern he loved and it became the base for his clothes. The thing is he had two characters: Odysseus Palantír, a Hellenic descended from Numenór, and Morrôkon Donthonion, a Dark Elf. Yet, he wanted to wear the same things for both characters (to make his wardrobe simpler), Material The beige tunic is made of linen. The black tunic is a denim weave (100% unknown fibres) The cape was made with a new drop cloth that was first dyed blue, than black (someone changed their mind after a year). The pants are leggings Pattern Simplicity 4942 view B for the tunics. Simplicity 9887 view D for the cape. Advice Make up your mind more than a week before an event, especially when someone else is making the costume for you. (I still love you honey!) |
