As Oriana is still of no great House or Guild, she mostly participate in scouting missions, especially for the Great Battle of Bicolline. When you’re trying to hide in the woods, it is no use wearing red. For camouflage purpose, she wears a moss green short surcot over a beige shirt. The black pants and belt are the same as worn with the Battle Outfit. Material        The shirt is made of beige embroided Indian cotton        The surcot is made of worn looking leaf green linen.        The pants are made of thick black denim like cotton.        Then leather belt is the one I’ve been wearing since I was 13. Pattern        For the shirt, I used Simplicity 5684 view A and made the sleeves a bit longer. I also decided to lace up the collar with tiny beige cord.        For the surcot, I used I used McCall’s 9083 view D as a base. I modified the neckline, made the back in only one piece, shortened the sleeves and laced the sides under the arms.        The pants are made from Simplicity 5494. Instead of using elastic at the waist, I used a cord to tie them. I obviously also had to add eyelets. Advice        Lace your sides loosely BEFORE you put the surcot on!
