Nancy: Personally I’ve always enjoyed a twisted and horrific take on Christmas and the holidays, some years it can be a little too much cheer and commercial for me. Some people can just get crazy around this time of year. I think I stay sane by keeping certain things a tradition with friends and family. Do you have any traditions you like to do each year for the holidays? Kimberly: You just said a mouthful Nancy and you read my mind. Halloween is my favorite holiday and so still having Halloween decorations up at Christmas and living on the buckle of the bible belt (Alabama) I sometimes awake Christmas morning to find villagers with torches and pitchforks in my front yard chanting "SATAN GET THEE AWAY FROM HERE"!!! So to appease the unwashed masses here in Jones, ALABAMA I now put up a 13 foot tall Christmas tree that is visible from the windows in our A-Frame home.GRIN. My traditions are to fix a large meal for my entire family, its a virtual feast with a gigantic turkey and two large hams, A roast, Stuffed Cornish Hens, (we usually like to have some bigfoot meat if we can trap one but it does not work out every year so we have the next best thing PORK)Just kidding seriously the list goes on about seven different kinds of cake and six pies each year did I mention Chicken and Dressing, Chicken and Dumplings, green bean casserole and Sweet Potato Casserole, corn bread, rolls, a BIG feast. Since last year the 13 foot tall Christmas tree has been a tradition, we spent a fortune on that thing and all the fancy decorations for it. Its really quite lovely all lit up. This year I am hitting Sam's to get one of those six and half foot santa claus's to stand in our living room and of course it will be holding a rusty machete that I already have from Mark of the Astro-Zombies.grin Nancy: It seriously sounds like a blast! What was the wildest gift you received both as a kid and an adult? Kimberly: my favorite thing I can remember as a kid was a cardboard playhouse, like one of those Barbie houses but made of cardboard and a bicycle that year. But I remember my brother was older but he was such a stinker he stuck gum all over the inside of my playhouse and wrote on it with magic markers and after a week my father threw it out. I was heartbroken. As an adult I think lingerie is the wildest thing I have gotten for Christmas and my husband's brother gave me a ring that was nice I was hoping I would be able to marry him too and have two of the greatest guys on the planet but I guess not.giggles. As far as bizarre gifts from fans I have gotten some doozies a letter signed in blood, a broken chainsaw and a full size $650.00 mannequin dressed up like Jason X!!! So I have been lucky! Nancy: How old were you when you found out Santa was made up…or did I just let the cat out of the bag? Kimberly: I am not sure I remember that one. Obviously the transition was smooth from the myth to reality because I have no residual scars from it.grin. Now my son is right at that age where I thought last year was the last year he would believe but this year he Started asking me if Santa was going to bring him an expensive new bow, he is into Archery big. He is nine so I think I knew by then.grin Nancy: You’ve been keeping quite busy with your film roles and it doesn’t sound like that will be letting up any time soon! I’ve heard you are a joy to work with. Most notably you’ve had a role in Body Snatchers, Mark of the Astro-Zombies, Odd Noggins, Zombie Love Slave, Monster in the Garage, and Cremains. Where can we find some of them? Kimberly: I was just feeling a bit down in the dumps because I faxed my Headshot and resume to George Romero for Land of the Dead, which is filming now in Toronto and I did not hear back, but then a fan wrote and told me that I had about four of my movies for sale all over Ebay, so I looked on a whim and actually I have SEVEN films for sale on Ebay so that is a blessing right there. 1. Body Snatchers 2. Cremains (which is all over the world now) 3. Dead Clowns (in the U.K. and Germany but about to be released here in the states) 4. Selma Lord Selma (I did stunts and was a featured extra and worked a bit for Disney Production) 5. Mark of the Astro-Zombies (Ted V. Mikels remake of the 1968 classic HOW KEWL IS THAT) 6. Search for the Beast (a real stinker I did for Rick Montana and Dave Friedman) 7. Psycho Santa/Satan Claus (a double feature which is for sale EVERYWHERE) |
