I had a terrific opportunity to purchase
this Z in late of 1997. I had searched for a Z Twin Turbo for 2 months
and nothing I found were to my liking. I had it all pictured out in my
mind.... I wanted a Silver TT but as I've come to understand through people's
responses and experiences, it's like trying to find a needle in a hay stack.
I came across a Silver TT but it was a 1990 with 100,000+ miles on it.
Needless to say, I passed that one up. I wanted one that was around 60,000
miles with all the services and the timing belt done. I also took a ride
up to Delaware to United Auto Sales to look for the perfect Z, I found
it but at $24,000 I couldn't afford it. I was a beautiful black 94 TT w/
64,000 miles. Bryan at United Auto Sales was very nice, allowing me to
drive some his Z's knowing that I might not buy from him. He even gave
me pointers on what to look for when looking at one. Thanks Bryan!
I finally came across my Z in December
of 1997. It needed the 60K, timing belt services, new water pump, new clutch,
and a new antenna. But luckily, I was able to talk the guy into having
these done. I told him there was no way I would by the car in this condition
at the price he was asking for. Further more, I told that the price he
was asking for this was way too much and no person in their right mind
would pay for this car. To make a long story short, I offered him $4000
less than what he asked for originally (with all the service included at
his cost), or $6000 less without the work. He agreed on $4000 less with
the work but his total bill for the services came out to $2500. Ha! That's
what you get for dealing with an educated Z buyer! Well, below are are
some stats and list of mods that I have done and plan to do in the near
future. Enjoy!
