NIKKI AND PETE'S ADVENTURES WITH GRAHAM NORTON AND T-MOBILE On Wednesday 29th April, Pete & Nikki had a last-minute booking on The Graham Norton Show - but they got on the wrong train! Undeterred, our intrepid pair got off at Finsbury Park, got on the tube and got there quicker! The show, which featured Matt Lucas and Anna Friel was great fun, and you can watch it by clicking on the link below. On the way back, they went through a passageway marked 'exit' at Kings Cross St Pancras with a load of other people, and came to a dead end! They all had to go back to the platform, but got out eventually! CLICK HERE TO WATCH PETE & NIKKI ON THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW |

THE SEARCH FOR THE |
WHITE DANDELION... |

WHEN PEOPLE THINK OF DANDELIONS, THEY USUALLY THINK 'WEED', - but look at the picture on the left...isn't that beautiful? But a WHITE dandelion might get even the most stubborn of people thinking... |
Now the white dandelion, Taraxicum Alba, is a very rare albino form of the wild dandelion, which Pete had six years ago, but lost in transit. So Nikki agreed to drive him to Beeches Nursery in Saffron Waldon to track it down. Kevin at the nursery told our adventurers that he hadn't had that particular rarity in for some years, - but put them on to a few other treasures... As some of you may know, Pete has been trying to recreate some of |

beautiful plants seen in the Astral Garden of Haven Grandiflora! Featured in his series of books of the same name. Nikki and Pete are also recreating a woodland glade, based on the fictional Bedside Forest, featured in Pete's forthcoming book (available at the end of this very month!) THE SECRET OF BEDSIDE MANOR, where some very strange plants live. They have already obtained the strange green-flowered Francisca (right) from Beeches nursery, as well as the pink form of the wild English Bluebell, double lesser celandines and |

blue & double forms of the wildwood anemone, so imagine Pete'sdelight, when Kevin offered him the very rare purple form of the Oxlip, and some variations of the meadow cowslip! THIS WILL ALLOW PETE TO CONTINUE WITH HIS LONG QUEST TO BREED COWLIPS IN THE COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW... AND THE WHITE DANDELION? KEVIN HAS POINTED HIM IN THE DIRECTION OF A POSSIBLE SEED SUPPLY OF THIS HOLY GRAIL OF PLANT LIFE, - BUT UNTIL THEN - THE SEARCH GOES ON! COMING SOON - Pete's RED BUTTERCUP! |
THE WHIPSNADE ADVENTURE |

A FEW WEEKS BACK, NIKKI & PETE TOOK DEB, LOZZIE AND KAAHLIYAH TO WHIPSNADE ZOO IN BEDFORDSHIRE: Pete made an ape of himself, and |
Lozzie got scared by a gobble of turkeys, whilst Nikki filmed Deb and Pete looking for 'Lions, tigers and bears - OH MY!!!' They did, however, get some great pictures of animals between them (no, I don't mean the animals were between them - that would be silly) as you can see here... A sealion playing 'noseball' in the marina, (left) getting the spectators wet, a hawk awaiting his prey, a ring-tailed lemur sitting in the sun watching those strange human animals, and an elephant minding his own business (below). Much to Nikki and Pete's disappointment, the lemur didn't sing 'I want to Move it Move it' like they did in 'Madagascar'! |

Although Deb and Pete didn't find any LIONS & TIGERS, they did find a BEAR, (pictured below) which was washing himself in the river. Pete mistakenly took a floating log for a CROCODILE, - but was put right by Nikki, Deb, Lozzie and even Pete's four-year old great-granddaughter Kaahliyah! |

Pete, ever on the look-out for the unusual, spotted an albino peacock, which he snapped (above) That is to say, he didn't spot it with paint - that would be cruel, and he didn't snap it in half, as that would be even more cruel... he snapped it with the camera, as Deb snapped the bear... Anyway, for more madness, CLICK HERE for the Video on YouTube... |
