On Sunday, December 19, local professional hockey players completed against the St. Paul Police, the MN National Guard and Governor Tim Pawlenty's Team Minnesota. Proceeds from the games, silent auction, and raffles went to the Herb Brooks Foundation, MN Military Family Foundation and The Shjon Podein Children's Foundation. Mom and I headed to Mariucci Arena for our one and only chance this year to see NHL players play hockey. Players who are from Minnesota, live in Minnesota, or who are training in Minnesota during the lockout were involved. It was so great to see Darby Hendrickson skating in Minnesota again! |
