| Loony Lingo This is a reference page to the weird sayings my sisters and I take from movies and say at random whenever it would be funny to add in a conversation or when we are talking about the specific movie. I know Raymond has gotten very curious to see some of the movies we talk about since we say some quotes over and over. Some of these we have only used once and others we use many times. I am sure there are more we use but since I can't think of them all right now, this will have to suffice. :) If my sisters think of something else we say, they can tell me and I'll add it to the page. This might be a temporary page and it might be permanent, I'm not sure right now, but if you want to see the movies to understand the saying get out your pens and paper and start writing some of this down!! ;) |
| In no particular order, here they are: "Dearie, marry the mole." Animated version of Thumbelina. "Towanda!!" Fried Green Tomatoes. "Curiouser and curiouser." "Now don't lets be silly." Disney's Alice in Wonderland. "Jam tomorrow, jam yesterday but never ever jam today." Live action version of Alice in Wonderland. "Milk." Some live action version of Snow White. You have to see it to understand. "You mock my pain!" The Princess Bride. "Feed your brain." Morris goes to School. (it's in a song) "You remind me of the babe." The Labyrinth. "We need to call a realtor." Mr. Boogedy. "Run." The Brave Little Toaster. "Mmm, what's it called?" Ever After. (in reference to chocolate) "Bird." "You can do it, hop over." Bambi. "Hey you guuuuuys!" "Chocolate. Mmmm? Babe?" The Goonies. (Sloth says them both) I used to act out a whole scene from that movie between Sloth and Chunk and sometimes April would join me. Oh how I miss those days. ;) "I'm just a lucky dog, I'm just a lucky dog." Not from a movie but from a tv show called Dumbo's Circus. That's all I got right now. I know there has to be more, just can't think of them. If I ever do think of them I'll be sure to add them to the page. I guess only my sisters will get a kick out of this page since the rest of you probably haven't seen these movies or don't know how we say the stuff. It is funny, trust me. :) Some of these Sunny would say the most often, others April would say, and still others I would say. It is a mix. But every time one of us says it, it brings back memories. | I thought it might be fun if you guys knew some of the nicknames we had for each other. We never used them for long and I was probably the one who liked to use them the most but we did have them, even if it was only for a day. Jeanette-Sunny, Britney-April, Eleanor-Danielle from Alvin and the Chipmunks. I think it is pretty obvious how we decided which one of us should be named after them. Sunny was the oldest and smartest so she was Jeanette. April was the middle child and used to like attention so she was Britney. I was the chubby cheeked and youngest so I was Eleanor. :) Flora-Sunny, Fauna-April, Merryweather-Danielle from Disney's Sleeping Beauty. I think these were also in order of how old the characters were. Plus, Merry was chubby cheeked just like me! Blossom-Sunny, Buttercup-April, Bubbles-Danielle from the Powerpuff Girls. Sunny was oldest and had beautiful hair that we envied so she had to be the leader, Blossom. April was the toughest, meanest, and strongest so she was Buttercup. I was supposed to be the cute shy one Bubbles. After a while I realized April and my nicknames should've been switched since I have darker hair and green eyes like Buttercup, April has lighter hair and blue eyes like Bubbles and she also loves animals while I don't. Oh well, we stuck with the same names though. We don't use any of those names anymore but it is fun to compare ourselves to the nicknames every once in a while. |
