Mom & Donalds Trip to NYC
July 12, 2002
Mom and Donald arrived and I met them at Grand Central.  We had lunch, I put them in a cab to go visit the Frick museum.  They tell me the cab ride was quite interesting.  The almost hit the same bicyclist twice and learned how to swear in Arabic.  They came back to the office around 5 and we all took the train home.

We decided to go to Hyde Park to see Franklin Delano Roosevelt's home and museum.  We also saw Val-Kill, Eleanor Roosevelt's home.  For the amusement of all I kept calling FDR, Franklin Eleanor Roosevelt.  The laughter was non-stop.  Nearby is the Vanderbilt Mansion.  We did not go there.

An all Roosevelt weekend.  We visited Theodore Roosevelt's home on Oyster Bay in Long Island.  The kids were mighty disappointed, but later in life they will appreciate our historical perambulations.
