Third & Final Day of Hunting

It was do or die for me now - last day of hunting.  Again, we decided to go down the point to where Bill had shot his hog.  I took stand in a huge swamp that had more sign than any other place I'd seen.

Though we found lots of sign throughout the morning, we didn't see any hogs.  We continued down the South Point as the closer down to the end of the point, the more sign we saw.  As we continued south I spotted two hogs as they ran out through the cane thicket to my right, offering absolutely no chance at a shot as they were flat hauling ass!  It was almost like reaching the top of a mountain peak when we finally came to the end of the point we had worked so hard hunting.  Below is the view of the creek meeting the river as you look south.

We kept leapfrogging from one swamp to the next all evening.  Again around 3:00 Bill jumped two hogs and tried to push them my way but they gave him the slip.  I decided we should take a stand till dark and we found one little swamp that was loaded with sign and dubbed it the "Last Stand".
